Akvilė Stoškutė-Bendorienė has been working in the field of labour law for fifteen years.
In 2008, she joined the Vilnius Territorial Office of the State Labour Inspectorate as Chief Labour Inspector for Labour Law. In this role, she inspected companies, investigated complaints from employees regarding possible violations of their labour rights, provided advice on labour law and occupational safety and health issues, and represented the institution in general jurisdiction and administrative courts.
After the establishment of labour dispute commissions within the State Labour Inspectorate, she became the Chairperson of the Labour Dispute Commission. In this role, she has dealt with a wide range of labour disputes (recognition of employment relations, payment of remuneration, unfair dismissal, compensation for damages (material and non-material), compensation for breach of non-competition agreement and disclosure of confidential information, etc.), has cooperated with the social partners - employee and employer representatives, and has gained mediation experience.
