Senior Lawyer Daiva Tamulionienė is an expert in personal data law. She has gained experience in various positions during her 15 years at the State Data Protection Inspectorate.

While acting as the Chief Specialist in the Complaints Handling and International Cooperation Division, she examined complaints about personal data processing violations, performed inspections of personal data processing, and represented the State Data Protection Inspectorate in court. While working as the Chief Specialist of the Legal Division, she provided consultations to data controllers, data subjects and other stakeholders, and coordinated draft legal acts.
After becoming the Head of the Supervision Division in 2018 and after the European Union started applying the General Data Protection Regulation, Tamulionienė personally contributed to raising the awareness of Lithuanian data controllers in the field of personal data protection, developing new practices, procedures and documents required for supervision. In this position she also oversaw the tasks related to the protection of personal data on a daily basis, and proposed solutions concerning the processing of personal data and violations of the rights of data subjects.
In 2021, Daiva Tamulionienė was awarded by the Minister of Justice of the Republic of Lithuania for her contribution to the protection of human rights in the field of personal data protection and the management of personal data processing by business and public authorities in Lithuania.
