Džiuginta Balčiūnė has gained over 15 years of experience in corporate law, mergers & acquisitions (M&A) and insolvency.
Attorney is an aknowledged lecturer in corporate and Insolvency law, an author to several legal articles published in business and law magazines. Curently she works with complex corporate issues, including acquisition of own shares, reorganisation of group of companies, participates in structuring complex employee incentive schemes, option grants. Džiuginta represents shareholders‘ interests in legal disputes and througout the whole M&A process. She also takes part in various solvency-related issues in restructuring and insolvency cases, beeing one of the first attorneys to sucessfully instigate several restructuring cases under the new Law on Insolvency of the Republic of Lithuania during the pandemic.
Before joining ILAW LEXTAL Džiuginta represented shareholders’ and issuers’ interests with the supervisory authorities of a regulated market, was a member of Supervisory Council in a number of public companies acting in aviation, agricultural and real estate sectors. She has worked with “PwC Legal“, „Cobalt“ and „Glimstedt“ law firms, also in a Representation of the European Commission in Berlin.

Attorney-at-Law has gained a master degree in commercial law at Vilnius University and Master of German and European Law and Legal Practice at Humboldt University in Berlin.
She speaks Lithuanian, Russian, English and German languages.
